National Blog Posting Month – A Challenge!

#NaBloPoMo popped up on my Twitter feed last night.  I had seen the #NaNoWrMo (National Novel Writing Month) come up on a few message boards, so I vaguely knew what it meant, but I looked it up during one of baby J’s midnight feeding sessions.

National Blog Posting Month – It’s November and rather than growing a beard (which thankfully, I can’t), this is the month to write one blog post every day. Seems rather daunting to come up with 30 posts, but really, what else have I got going on?  I’m on maternity leave, I’m not sleeping much and spending far too much time on my computer anyway.  Seems like the perfect trifecta to rise to the occasion.

So, here goes ….

One goal I have this month is to get 100 followers.  I am utterly shocked I have one follower, let alone 87 of you!  Truly shocked!  When I started this blog two years ago, I figured a few of my friends might read it, but to see so many virtual strangers reading my words is truly humbling, and inspiring. Thank you to all of you for following my journey here.

Another goal I have this month is to write about medicine.  It’s been a while since I have and considering the title of my blog, I should delve back into that world a bit.  It’ll be a good exercise for me to do some reading around a topic and write about it.  Sometimes my self-directed learning takes a backseat due to the busyness of life but no more! I need the brain stimulation – I can feel my brain turning mushy.

Right now, I feel the caption should read, “I wish I had mine back”

A challenge indeed!
