Day 16 – January Daily Blog Posting Month
Yes!!!
My first post-partum run was 2.73 km on November 13, 2013. Nine weeks and 12 runs later and I cracked the 5 km mark. Oh, don’t get me wrong, it was not easy. In fact, it was probably the toughest run I’ve ever done. Tough because it was cold, tough because I didn’t want to keep going after 2.5 km, tough because my shins, ankles, and right SI joint were on fire.
But I did it and I’m so glad I did.
Congratulations!!! You see you’re TOUGH too, because no matter how tough things were, you made it! I’m sure that you’ll be running 10km in no time. Keep it up!

Thank you! Trust me, I am feeling it today. I totally pushed myself and should have stopped at 4.5 km but I had to keep going. Now I wonder if I should have stopped when my body told me to. Oh well .. a few days of rest should do the trick.
Something tells me that if you had stopped at 4.5k, you would have gotten home and regretted not trying for 5k. You’ll recover! 😀
Ha ha! Yes indeed, I would have been very upset with myself. Two days later and I am feeling much better.
