Day 2 – National Blog Posting Month.
Where I live, daylight savings time ended last night. Gone are the days when an extra hour of sleep was something to look forward to. Since having kids, any extra hour of sleep is appreciated but this return to “normal time” sucks.
Why?
Because instead of waking up at 6:30am, my kids were all up today an hour early – at 5:30am – and when I say they were awake, they were AWAKE.
Bright eyed and bushy-tailed awake.
Meanwhile, this was me:
I think it’s going to be a long day.
For the love of everything holy, please, GOD, someone make this terrible practice stop!!!!’n
I know, right?!?!
So, where I lived before, they had no day light savings, which was both nice and crappy. I know my kids were up super early this morning, but I was on call, so it didn’t affect me! Oh wait, except that I had to work an extra hour… Nevermind. Who came up with this silly practice?!?
Ouch, 25 hours of call?! Brutal. Hope you got some sleep at least!
Hmm… Some sleep was had, amidst the rapid afib (x2) and the aspiration pnumonia, and the palliative lady requiring more morphine…
And if your kids are like my son, that means waking up at 5:30 every day for a couple of weeks.
Love the Crappy Mama picture. That blog is so funny.
